    I'll repost what I did in the NFL Discussion thread:

    I can't believe you guys and the Broncos talk. I have it on good authority that we are all mistaken.

    We THINK the game is over, but it is not. This Wednesday there will be a huge press conference. The NFL will say that they misjudged things. Tebow will be seen on the field again, leading the Broncos miraculously to a TD that will be worth 18 pts. He will kick the extra point himself, then rise into the stands, as if on a great cloud..........exactly three days after we thought he had lost.​

    A few short weeks ago, I would have asked, "What's a Tebow?"

    This thread and a few other sources have helped inform me that he's some kind of high-profile player of American football. I've further discovered that he could be some overbearing evangelist.

    What's most interesting to me, however, is that Tebow is also responsible for selling a lot of books, his autobiography — which, as it happens, sells far more copies in a single week than America's best-selling poet has sold all year. I'd tell you who that poet is, but you probably have never heard of him.

    It gets me wondering if there is more to learn about life in Tebow's book versus this book of poetry. I mean, I think we can agree that people would rather read about Tebow (in his words, through his collaborator's writing) than lines of verse, regardless of the quality. But I always come back to what people get out of these things.

    Tebow does come up with some great inspirational lines, such as, "The Bible is my playbook."

    So maybe there is nothing to be concerned about.

    We can all learn a lot about life without ever leaving the always-inspiring realm of sports metaphors.

    Go Tebow!

    worst thread ever?

    Tebow gets all of this attention for nothing. Big whoop, he prays. Big whoop, he miraculously turns into a kicker, a punt returner, a kick returner and a running back. Oh wait, no, he doesn't. He just claims all the glory for his teammates plays all while claiming to be some great and humble christian. Yeah - just like every other player, celebrity, musician etc. Special? I think not.

    I don't think it's fair to call people "Tebow haters". The "haters" are really Tebow doubters. His future as an NFL quarterback is still uncertain .
