Svengoolie

has anybody seen this late night movie host? He's actually pretty good. unlike other movie host. he shows a general love for the theater.

 

The only reference I find is for Rich Koz - a long-standing TV host on a local Chicago channel and most recently, host of a ME TV movie program.

Are camp horror movies considered theatre? Maybe they are.
Or do you mean he has a love for the theatrical?

I remember watching this guy back when he was "Son of Svengoolie" and was on Saturday afternoons. I saw many classic horror films on this guy's show, but the draw for me was his comedy bits during the commercial breaks. He ended every show with Billy Joel's "You May Be Right" while being pelted mercilessly with rubber chickens.

If you don't understand why that's funny, I may have to pelt you with a rubber chicken should we ever meet.

 

That's another attraction about him, his choice of movies. Most horror movie host would pick these lame,dumb, never heard of movies. But Sven plays classic horror movies, Frankenstein, Dracula, Invisible Man, and tell you all the inside scoop on the actors and plots of them. And although his comedy bits are very bad, they never fail to entertain. If you get MeTV and have a Saturday night free. I highly recommend him. It's like to a friends house to watch a classic movie.

 

Our cable system added ME TV a short while back, and we've recently become acquainted with Svengoolie.

I do enjoy his show and he shows a range of classic and downright schlocky horror/sci-fi flicks.
