1. We've had very few donations over the year. I'm going to be short soon as some personal things are keeping me from putting up the money. If you have something small to contribute it's greatly appreciated. Please put your screen name as well so that I can give you credit. Click here: Donations

I have joined ExtraLife. It's a charity organization that supports children's hospital. The long and short is here: Extra Life | Play Games. Heal Kids.

I've been streaming on: Twitch on Wed, Fri and Sat. Wed & Fri I stream from 8pm PST until 11pm PST and Sat from 12pm PST until 6pm PST. On Wednesday I stream Heroes of the Storm. It's a MOBA by Blizzard, and is currently in Beta. On Friday, I stream some random game from Steam Library. On Saturday, I'm currently streaming Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Stop on by, give my channel a follow and say, "HI!"

In general, this comment strikes me as rude. Nobody asked you to go out of your way to donate. All @Azharen said was hey, I'm streaming on Twitch for a good cause, if you're interested, come and watch. Believe me, it is a very good cause, and I speak from personal experience with the organization he is sponsoring. I'm guessing from your response that you didn't bother to click on his Extra Life link.

Next time, I suggest you remember the old adage, especially in cases like this: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I'm not watching people play video games for charity. I didn't see anyone else responding, and I thought it was spam like. Lots of good causes, just give. How much did you end up donating?

I don't talk about my charitable giving.

"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full."--Matthew 6:2.

I'm just trying to help kids in need. Thx, for being my Valkyrie, Snowy. Herculite, the great thing about this community is there is something for everyone. Not everyone has to be into all the posts.

In general, this comment strikes me as even ruder. The first two posts look exactly like that's what they're doing, if they're not robospam entirely. What makes it ruder though is that incredibly "old adage" you tacked on the end.

I have a hard time imagining anything more rude, smug, and self-important than someone saying that phrase, someone saying it is literally my mental image of those concepts. Or at least I did until two posts later. Let me just put it this way: I grew up in the Deep South. It takes some serious skill to outdo the kind of smug, self-important, holier-than-thou, "look how modest I am!" bible thumping we get down here.

P.s. And for the record I say all of this as someone that was there for the beginning of ChildsPlay.

It's hard asking people for money, even if it is not for yourself. Whether my posts look like spam is inconsequential. One click of the links and a Google search would validate the post. Or just checking my profile and seeing my activity. Snowy was defending me, a friend. I don't see how that can be rude. Her and Herculite have a differing opinion. They said their peace. There is no need to try and exacerbate their disagreement. Again, this is a community of people with differing opinions and life styles. Name calling and insults are no basis for an argument. If you want to argue in this thread, argue as to why Children's Cancer, in any form, is the least donated to in this country.

I guess it helps that I know Azharen IRL (he was a groomsman at my wedding and we met through TFP) and I know why he is taking the time to do this.
It's deeply important and personal to him, so I have no problem with the post and I would have been more surprised if he hadn't done it.

I just hope this thread doesn't devolve into something it was never meant to be.
All I can say is thank you for doing this Az, those kids deserve someone like you in their corner.
