Some changes

    The past couple of weeks have been rather interesting here, not for any other reason than people being people.

    Some staff members have decided to leave, one over time and unintentionally as life ebbs and flows. One is leaving because he felt it is best for the community and his own desires and pursuits. We wish him well. A couple are going to step away for a couple days to just take care of personal items.

    They put in time to assist the community to be a better place, and now they felt in some way that the community is better served without their participation. No much more explanations required than that.

    More than anything, I want to emphasize that this community ebbs and flows like anything. It took me many years to understand that the dynamic that this place is, is just that. It can't be forced, but it can be encouraged. The place retains it's genuineness because it is not forced. It comes from within on its own because people want to.

    The tenet remains the same. We'd like to think that we are all mature adults here, and we usually are. Sometimes we can be sophomoric and sometimes something crosses the line unintentionally and without malice. Be respectful in all conversation and dialogue. If you think that maybe something crosses the line, before you think too much about it, use the report post feature.

    The staff is here to assist and help.

    Sometimes people just have to step back from their current social circles and endeavors to look at everything from a bird's-eye perspective to help find direction, and some ultimately decide they've just outgrown or grown away from some of their communities. I've done it a few times. Good times though, good times.

    Looks like I'm coming in at a time of flux and community regeneration.

    The reality is folks....The staff are people who have lives like you do. There are times they feel like spending in service and times they simply cannot. All deserve appreciation and a certain level of internal respect....they appreciate the chance to help and the love it entails.

    They ALL have my thanks and need to be happy for it...as do we all.
