I've never been a huge fan of most Asian foods. I don't hate them, they just aren't my thing. But my wife loves them, and will use rice noodles all the time in them.

But this one looks good even to me:

Never heard of these rice noodles. They do not sound appealing to at all, but I would have to try them first obviously before them placing them in the "not fit for consumption" category with items like lemonade and anything associated with cranberries.

the benefit over dried pasta is the cooking time is really short. They basically taste like whatever you put with them...

Pho! Stir fry, teriyaki, anything Asian. They go well in brothy soups, too.

Rice noodles are awesome. They're good, and they cook in only a few minutes.

I don't eat them enough, so I haven't really used them for soups or anything. I normally use them for a quick and easy meal.

I throw together a spicy peanut sauce and serve it over the noodles. I can usually bang that out in under ten minutes.

What I prefer, though, are soba noodles.

This is what we use them for. We also often use them as a base for Thai curries when we forget to make rice.

I usually have a lot of different Asian noodles on hand--right now, I have lo mein, somen, soba, and udon noodles in my pantry, and fresh-pak udon noodles in the fridge.

They also work well in this recipe: Chinese Recipe Contest Winner | The Daily Dish Two tips, though, if you try it: Make more dressing than listed, fiddle with it to your taste, and let the salad marinate for quite a while. Baby arugula can be subbed in for the cress, as you're just looking for a snappy bite, and we leave out the baby corns, since my husband thinks those are the devil. And thanks goes to @Magpie for the original link to this recipe. I've made it a few times since then to rave reviews.

My sister has celiac's disease, so wheat noodles are no good for her. We use rice noodles as a substitute for regular pasta when she's going to be eating with us and we've got the pasta crave.

I've never really experimented with asian cooking in the kitchen; vegetable stir fries are about as far as I ever got, and I've always served them over rice. Maybe it's time to branch out.

I love cooking Asian food from a variety of cuisines, and I would guess Asian groceries are pretty easy to come by where you are. Lucky :)

    I like noodles very much.

  13. My use of rice noodles is currently limited to a single pad thai recipe.

I should investigate other ways of using them.

They're super yummy in salads with crisp veggies.
