I agree. I will never forget.
I think 9-11 should be a national holiday and nothing should be open. I think everyone should spend the day with their family

I feel the opposite. Shutting everything down will only bring the horror back to light and give satisfaction to those who brought the destruction.

If we don't shut down for Pearl Harbor Day, we shouldn't shut down for 9-11 day.

I hope this doesn't sound callous because that's not my intention.

No matter how many years pass, a clear morning will never be just a clear September morning.

I have never watched any of he 9/11 services and I will never probably. I find too much pomp and circumstance surrounded by politics.

It is hard to forget when your living room is illuminated by the extra 9/11 monument lights every fall.

    I don't think it callous.

I don't want people 30 years from now remembering by grilling hot dogs and drinking beer and having store wide sales.

I think we would all be remiss if we stopped just at remembering what happened on 9/11. Tragic about the deaths, but the ensuing decade has been great for defense contractors and the national security state and the politicians (and oh the punditry!). And all for a barely noticeable blip in the US' annual mortality rate.

It will be impossible to forget 9/11 since the media and politicians keep talking about it every year.

This year, there was a memorial held by student groups on campus. I didn't have time to attend, but I did happen to look down onto the concourse from the balcony and saw a bake sale with red, white, and blue cupcakes and an American Flag sheet cake.
