I've never been much of a Reddit user, but the last few weeks I've been finding myself browsing a handful of subreddits when bored. A few times I've sat and refreshed the "random" button way, way longer than I anticipated I would.

Anyone here visit Reddit regularly? Have any interesting subreddits you'd like to share?

My list of subreddits is pretty random (insert your own /r/). Lego, Star Wars, Bullmastiffs, IowaCity, Steak, Chicago, Burgers, Civ, WorldofWarships, PearlJam, News, Bourbon, etc.

I'd be interested in seeing what subreddits you all feel are interesting.

I scan the front page via Relay for Reddit most of the time. I easily get lost for a long time.

I'm subscribed to Pcmasterrace, Guns, Israel, Depthhub, GWNerdy, GloriousCRTMasterRace, Airsoft, and as a holdover from mom's lung cancer Electronic_Cigarette. I also read askreddit and tumblrinaction/tumblrpls regularly, and occasionally venture elsewhere.

I think GWnerdy might appeal to a lot of people here.

From my custom RES top bar:

Yaoi, Seahawks, Timbers, Ripcity, TrollXChromosomes, WoW, MakeupAddiction, SkincareAddiction, JapaneseFood, Noragami.

Subscribed to, besides those, and enjoy: LadyBoners, AsianBeauty, Aww, Blep, Breadit, gardening, ramen, MildlyStartledCats, and TrollYChromosome, to name a few.

I'll have to check out TrollX, I enjoy TwoX. Is it bad that I love reading TIFU? That stuff kills me.

I used to like reading TIFU but I quit when it had a bit of a downhill slide for a while where every story boiled down to something gross involving bodily fluids. Roastme is fun to read every now and then too, there's some really good zingers there.

You know they misbehaved so badly even the pro-SRS admins publicly called them out for making alt accounts to fake sending themselves "harassment", right?

I check it a couple of times a week. Mostly frontpage, TIL, DIY, woodworking and comicbooks!

Shutupandtakemymoney is great to find the thing you never knew you desperatly needed!

I haven't been on reddit much lately. I follow a ton of subs, but I can't really remember the last time I just scrolled down my front page...I should probably unsub a few.

Anyway, I take part in the loseit weight loss challenges, but hardly read the sub anymore—I'm much more likely to read/post in the challenge team subs. Now that baseball season's started (ooh, I should start a thread!), I'll be hanging out on Reds a lot more. Last season I did the live game threads and had an absolute blast. I also like xxfitness, Awwducational, buffy, EarthPorn, OldSchoolCool, DelightfullyAnnoyed, brushybrushy, and various vegetarian subs.

I don't really think there are best subreddits. The reddit experience is all about customization. You'll have a much better time picking subs that are centered around your interests.

The defaults tend to be pretty shit though.

Askreddit's a decent default for wasting a lot of time reading hilarious responses. You need good question prompts for it though.

This is why I've curated a lot of things into multireddits. I can read all of my food subreddits together. My favorite is trollthings, which groups cute animals with all the troll subs.

I've followed a couple Reddit links that folks posted, but have only had a general look around once or twice. As some others have posted, it appears that narrowing ones browsing to topics of interest is the best to enjoy it.

I just got a message saying I was added to the /r/EternityClub.

    Pretty sweet.
