    What is your favorite color, and does it show in your wardrobe or home decor?

    I thought of this question when I saw a photo of this woman:

    Hmmm. I've been known to answer blue, green, or purple, depending on how I'm feeling. Today, I think I would say blue.

    I tend towards cooler, darker colors. We rent, so I can't do too much with decor, but the living room (mostly blue accents) and the bathroom (green accents) definitely reflect my taste. The bedsheets are blue and green. And my wardrobe is nearly all black, navy blue, and forest or emerald green (though there is some orange and red thrown in there thanks to sports teams.)

    That picture amuses me, because I went shopping for a new work outfit or two on Friday. I found a skirt I liked in green, black, and white; a black sleeveless shirt; and a green cardigan. It ties together for a rather nice outfit, but I worried it was too "matchy-matchy." I think this lady would tell me to not worry about it :)

    Probably blue, but the large retailer that semi-pays the bills with the checks they give me has that colour as a uniform item so I tend to avoid solid shades of it when not within their lovely halls.

    I like grays. Go with everything and feels calm, balanced.

    A lot of my wardrobe is gray now. Casual and formal.

    Large parts of my house are painted / carpeted gray.

    I like sea foam green and navy blue. The sheets in our bedroom are navy. We're considering doing some painting around our house, which will include some more blue in our bedroom. I have a couple of shirts in my favorite shade of green.

    One good thing about getting older is I can wear really colorful clothes, namely Hawaiian-style shirts, without looking ridiculous.

    It isn't that you don't look ridiculous - it is that you don't care that you do ;)

    I think CinnamonGirl and I might be twins separated at birth - blue/green/purple - that's just about my entire wardrobe!

    I'm into grey as well. A couple of rooms are painted a color called pewter with 'steel violet' carpet. I have a silver car and a stainless refrigerator.

    I'm conservative in many ways, and my personality is mostly 'introverted grey.'

    My favorite bright color is orange.

    Like my avatar. And my pubes.:p

    Which now sport more than a few threads of silver/grey.:(

    Blue, Green or Black...depending on my mood.

    Same goes with my clothes...although I have a lot of blue because it matches my eyes...and some notice that. ;)

    Coloring tends to be in cool colors, either Winter or Summer.
    Used to have more summer because it went with my hair (light brown with natural blonde highlights)
    But since I've been bald, tend to go with Winter colors more.
    Although I'm not opposed to Fall & Spring...but I'm really more particular with those.

    Car is Metallic Blue...that's what they had...and I'm tired of black.

    Green is what I love in nature....something I appreciate now after a decade in San Diego (not much green)
    Grass, leaves, plants....rich lush green everywhere. :cool:

    That's definitely true. A middle-aged+, overweight, white guy with glasses and a buzz cut hairstyle has no business going out in public wearing a bright Hawaiian-style Bob Marley shirt. But I don't care :cool:.

    Red. It is my favorite color and I decorate with it any chance I get. I'be always wanted a red couch. I don't wear it though. I don't wear bright colors often at all. I have a black, grey, brown and sometimes navy wardrobe. I will wear red jewelry with my boring clothes.

    Same, I really don't have the hair-line to get away with the tie-dyed hippy look; but I seriously don't give a shit, either. Other than the occasional hummingbird that mistakes me for a flower, no one else seems to care.
