Possible coup going on in North Korea? Or just Chinese version of Twitter getting out of control?

If true, this could obviously be a pretty big deal. But it sounds to me that it's just as likely to be a hoax. I guess we'll find out.

Should be worth keeping an eye on. Funny, I thought the Chinese government kept a tight lid on viral information. Makes me think it might just be a hoax.

It would be interesting to discuss what it would be like if it proved to be true.
Could it be worse? If there were a coup and the military took control, would the population ever realize that maybe they were brain washed?

It's remarkable that rumors of a country's leader could be in the wild for over 6 hours without any reliable source doing more than reporting that the rumor exists. North Korea's isolation is unimaginable to most of us.
It's unlikely that anyone is going rogue, but if it did happen, Seoul would be the last place in the world I would want to be.

Yeah, I keep watching the major news outlets to see if they break the story and it gets some legitimacy. If the president/leader of almost every other country in the world had died, it would be worldwide news in seconds. With North Korea, it's a dark, solid veil of obfuscation. Extremely bizarre.

What did it take last time? 3 days or so?

Most indications outside of North Korea seem to indicate that it's not true. And if it were to happen in China, I think even they would have trouble keeping it quiet. Compared to North Korea, China is liberal and open, lol

There was a purposely faked news release about a meltdown in progress a while ago in North Korea. Some people made a lot of money in the South Korean stock market before it was proven false...
