I'm looking to go to Pax Prime and was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap, but safe places to stay in Seattle?

This is probably your best bet, @Azharen, as any hotel close to the convention center is excruciatingly expensive in summer, which is the height of the season. Luckily, it's the weekend before Bumbershoot, so you won't be competing with that for space; you might try Seattle Hotels: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Seattle-City Center Hotel in Seattle, Washington if you can't find anything that suits your fancy on AirBnB. One thing to keep in mind, though--public transportation in Seattle, while it has improved, still sucks compared to public transit in Portland.

I got a great deal through Priceline.com at the Seattle Westin three nights @$118 about a year ago. Total bill was a little over $400 including all the taxes, fees, and a couple of breakfasts. Last week of February, 2014, which is off season. Not really cheap, but a real value for a four star hotel.
Great view from the 10th floor, and absolutely the best bed I have ever slept in.:D

Of course, with Priceline it is kind of an adventure, because you don't know what hotel you get until your bid is accepted, but it's a great chance to stay at something like a Westin, Fairmont, or Marriott at a Super 8 price. Or even less. I've used Priceline quite a few times, and only remember being disappointed once.

You're not going to find that kind of deal at the Westin during summer. It's a great hotel, and I've stayed there many times, but the rates in Seattle go up considerably during the summer due to, well, summer, which is pretty idyllic. It's not unusual for them to flat out double in price compared to a winter weekend. Winter weekends often offer promotional rates, something which is completely unnecessary in the summer.
