My personal "Independence Day"

    Hi all.

    Happy 4th July.

    As a Brit, I'm not especially concerned with celebrating your Declaration (although I love a party and fireworks as much as the next sentient being), but I do like 4th July.

    It became my own Independence Day when I told my cheating wife she could move out on 4th July 2003.

    What have you ever declared yourself independent from, and how do you celebrate?

    Good for you! Everyone needs a special day of Independence at least once in their lifetime. I'm debating one for myself and soon.
