Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - imo, Worth a look.

This is a period work, set in Australia in the 1920's. It follows the tradition of a clever and curious 'solver' who becomes reluctantly accepted by the local police. I am thoroughly enjoying it, and after three episodes, would like to flag it up as worth having a look at.

Settie, Hi ... do have a look at this is you can, and tell me what you think. Like Bomb Girls, it is brimming with strong female characters, and does not shy away from grit.

I was watching the latest episode and thought "Heck, I must post a thread to recommend it ... but let's check to see if anyone else has."

I suppose I'll just say that I am still enjoying it and it is not getting any worse

 

I really like the 1920's era, the clothing, styles, cars. I don't know if this is on in the US. hmm...

 

The only problem with this show is that it plays on Friday nights and at my house that is football night. Curse you, television schedulers!

I have enjoyed the few episodes I saw before the footy season started

 

if you have digital TV you could record one and watch the footy

those doggies seems to have picked up their game after a slight slump in their form
