Left or right?

Discussion in 'General Discussions' started by Craven Morehead, Oct 30, 2011.

  1. Left handed or right handed? And what can you do with your 'off' hand?

Me, 100% right handed, can't do a damned thing with my left hand. I can't even masturbate left handed. Had to have my right arm in a sling because of a shoulder injury and I virtually couldn't do shit. Consequently, my right arm was out of the sling as much as it was in it!

Lefty here. I write and eat left-handed. I throw a ball and generally play sports right-handed. When it comes to using a knife in the kitchen, I prefer to use my left hand but can use both.

Totally right handed, can't do much with my left hand. My best mate he writes with his right hand but plays tennis, pool and every sport with his left.

Right handed since birth. I'm working on building muscle back in my left arm and shoulder as I had it replaced a few years back tho. I'm amazed at the dexterity I'm getting along with the muscle. I got smacked in the face dozens of times with a medicine ball when I was starting out, now I can grab it every time.

Right handed, with a lefty bent. I use a fork in my left hand, I switch hit in baseball (or did), golf left handed, shoot left handed in hockey.

    Right-handed.

The only thing useful I can do with my left hand is type on a keyboard and play guitar (sort of).

    completely left handed.
I can shoot a basketball outside the 10 ft range w/ my off hand because no one taught me to use my dominant hand/I copied the others when I was learning in my youth, but my right handed layups are a joke at best and always were useless in any real sense.
I can write right handed because I taught myself how to hold a writing utensil in that hand in the 7th grade. Fortunately have never had to use that skill as I only have sustained a nasty sprain to my right wrist and elbow on separate occasions.

    Left-handed.

I do most things with my left hand. That said, I use a mouse right-handed and do most sports with right-handed equipment (golf, hockey stick, bat swing). I throw left-handed. And like Snowy, I use my knives with my left hand.

    Ourcrazymodern? still, wondering

I'm right handed. I've spent a lot of years trying to become ambidextrous, but my left hand is still just the strange lover & help mate.

    I'm right handed.
At the computer I type the letters mostly with my left hand and keep my right on the mouse or numeric keypad.
My left eye is dominant, and I shoot a shotgun on my left shoulder and sight with my left eye.

Left-handed. I do many things with my right hand: use a knife, mouse. Even masturbate, when I want some "strange".

When our four year old was a baby/toddler she was completely left handed to the point she would literally throw the spoon back at us if we dared to place it in her right hand. Now she uses her right hand quite a bit and no doubt showing the same kind of ambidextrous trait that her brother has.

    I'm right-handed, but perform a few things better left-handed.

    An example (kinda graphic)

When I broke my ring finger on my left hand in my 4-wheeler accident, the doc put a cast on my hand.
It wasn't long before I realized I couldn't clean myself as well with my right hand after using the bathroom, as I could with ol' lefty.
For some reason, my reach with my right hand isn't good enough. (I guess I need to do some stretches, or something - very weird)
I needed help for a few days. Very embarrassing.

In baseball, I bat right-handed and left-handed, just not as powerful with my left. The ball usually makes a line-drive down the first base line.

Mostly right handed. Spent a lot of time as a kid practicing things left handed, and can do about 90% that way. I write better backwards left handed. I found that if I practice something left handed a while, my right hand gets better at that skill. Worked for throwing anyway.

Left handed, but play bat sports (baseball, golf, cricket) right handed. I *can* bat left handed, but not as well.

I throw and right left, though I eat with knife in my right hand. If it is just a knife (like buttering bread), I use the left.

I can kick a ball almost equally well with both feet - playing soccer at a decent level will do that to you. I've already got my 7yo using both feet playing soccer :)
