    Good evening folks -
It's been many years since I've posted here and it's unlikely that anyone will remember, but in the long long ago I informed the TFP (3.0, if I remember correctly) that at some point in my life I was going to high five Mark Hoppus.
Thanks to a ridiculous series of events and a super long shot post on reddit, looks like it's happening. I'm headed out to Vegas in a couple of days where (in theory) he will have my name on a list and passé and instructions for me. Fingers crossed all goes well.
That got me thinking though - anyone else have anyone they'd drop everything for and go on a ridiculous adventure to meet for a few seconds? I absolutely love Blink 182 - their music was basically the soundtrack of my teenage years and listening to them makes me incredibly nostalgic.

I finagled my way into cooking about 30lbs of pork for Nick Offerman and his family so I could meet him. That count?

Enjoy and hope it works out for you.

I was wondering who Mark Hoppus was but the Blink 182 reference was clear enough. Still looked him up to see what he did in the band.

I actually think I remember that post. Was your avatar at some point the "soup nazi"?

    Anyways, That is awesome!

I once managed to convince my girlfriend(whom I'd been together with for a few months) to go to Scotland with me and a friend, just to see Clerks 2 in a theatre.(it went straight to DVD in Sweden..)

It was at the Edinburgh Film Festival, Kevin Smith was there, and I had a brief, brief conversation with him from a balcony: "I love you, Kevin!" "I love you too."

I feel very 90s. I remembered who Mark Hoppus was right off the bat. I wonder if he is still as good-looking now as he was then. I have my doubts.

Good luck on your adventure! Thanks for the update and good to see you.

    EDIT: He's still hot.
