Help???

I like the new PC as I posted in my previous thread, however, I don't know if it is font or the tv (the picture is clear on tv), or what but some letters are real dark some are normal and some are almost invisible.

Short of taking it back how can I correct this?

 

I am just taking shot's in the dark here, but have you updated video card drivers?

 

yeah, details would be good. could be a gamma correction issues or just a colour-use mismatch which shows up worse on a monitor

 

Could be you got some leftover settings from the previus install, video card drivers (like cj suggested), or your TV and video card doesn't want to play together. Screen shot possible?

Also, cause I can. Have you tried turning it on and off again?

It could be. I know with the last puter, I had no issues but I had my own video card in the puter. Wanted it in this one but they said it wouldn't fit and I shouldn't have issues.

I have turned it off and on, wiggled the cable between tv and puter made sure connections were tight, everything I could think of externally with limited knowledge I have done. I may just have to hook it up to a monitor and see what happens.

 

didn´t see which os you´re using but i just went through a whole bunch of menus to get to an "adjust colour settings" option which allowed me to calibrate all of the options (contrast, brighless, colour levels, gamma etc)

mf gf runs xp on her pooter. this somewhat from memory but if you right click on the desktop you should get an option to change screen resolution and somewhere in one of those sub menus (on the screen resolution menu) there should be an option to configure of adjust settings. if ned be i can fire up her pooter and check.
