Great songs with cringeworthy lyrics: translate them?

    There are some pop songs of the last 50 years that sound great ... if only it weren't for some line in the chorus that's just dumb or awkward or too obvious.

    It occurs to me that I should look for foreign language versions of such songs. A local student-run radio station used to have a regular show of familiar pop songs re-recorded elsewhere, with lyrics done in German or Afrikaans or Korean or something.

    Where could such versions be found?

    Just for starters, how about "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" in, say, Turkish?

    This isn't exactly what you're looking for, SP, but I've always found the scatting in Strangers In The Night to be totally ridiculous in such a great song. I'm aware that scatting was common in the popular music of that era, but IMO it is unnecessary in SITN.
