    How do you dance TFP?

All dressed up and at a ball?
Jeans and tshirt at a mall?
Would you dance to something slow?
Or see how fast your dancing can go?
Do you bump and grind with that hippety-hop?
Or do you headbang to metal until all your friends drop?

I like to dance blues (buble, sinatra, some hendrix) and i'm just getting a friend of mind into it in time for our Ring Dance in May. It's also fun to blues dance to dubstep. Don't ask me why.

I dance to most anything. I love dancing. I took Ballroom 1 many years ago, and thus my skills in the waltz, tango, foxtrot, swing, etc. are pretty rusty. With a good lead I can still cut a rug, though.

    I love dancing.

Although I don't know if it always likes me...I think I screwed up my knee over the years with too many quick kneels to the hardfloor then up with a spin.
Hey, it was a move...and it looked great.

I used to be really good at swing, like borderline 'Swing Kira's extra good. But I am WAY out of practice. I took ballroom dancing lessons, so I can avoid totally humiliating myself while slow dancing, but I generally avoid fast dances.

If it's in 4/4 time, I can do it drunk. If not, I'll damn well try.

About 6 years ago, my partner and I were number 88 in the British Amateur Ballroom dancing league table. Rapidly declining health put a stop to that, but I am proud that we managed it. These days I can manage about five minutes of stage dancing on a good day, and will add elements of dirty blues bump'n'grind or burlesque if the occasion merits it.

If I'm drunk enough to dance, I'm drunk enough to not remember that I did.

Guilty as charged for some slow-dance grab-ass, though.

I like to dance. Music with a good beat makes me move.

I am almost positive it isn't a pretty thing to see me dance.

Was never all that social, so didn't learn to dance as a young man. I did get drunk and spazz out on the dance floor in my college years, but dancing is always something I did by myself...

My new wife is a dance teacher (ballet), but she loves shag and swing. I've taken a couple of classes with her, but haven't been much. I'm too self conscious to enjoy it much, so far.

I love love love dancing at a club...but only if the music doesn't suck, and never with other people. Yeah, I'm the girl on the middle of the dance floor by herself, completely spazzing out. :D

I've wanted to learn ballroom and salsa for YEARS, but can't find a partner to take classes with me. The YMCA has shag classes that don't require a partner, I should get some info on that...

Oh--and line dancing. I can do that pretty well. I only know one or two by heart, but I can usually pick up a new one after watching for a few minutes.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

It's best for everyone involved if I stay far, far from the dance floor.

I only dance when no one's looking, but unfortunately I'm never quite sure when that is...

I love to dance Western Swing or rockabilly with a good partner, and I spent a couple of years as a stripper/exotic/topless dancer on stage, with and without a pole. Once in a while a drunk would try to get up on stage with me until the bouncer intervened. I can do a waltz or two-step, but it's awkward when my partner is half a foot or more taller than me. My guy now is only about 5' 8" so that doesn't work too badly, but he really doesn't like to dance except "free style" or whatever you call just shakin' around.

    Same.
The quantity of alcohol needed to make me dance is pretty much the same as passing out.
