    Why Biden finally quit

A humbling and humiliating long slog of a process.
I wouldn't have wanted to be in his position.

They just kept piling on, in private. Submission by a 1000 cuts.

Well, he's still got 6 months of good work to do.
And he can work his job without conflict...challenging for anyone.
And stick it to the GOP without worry. (just needing to check with the replacement, if anything)

    And now with complete immunity...
Revenge is a dish best eaten cold.

    =======

Let's hear it for the guy who cleaned up after the asshole.
    It was a LOT !!!

That was a lot of pressure. From many important people.

They got what they wanted. Now what are they going to do?

Biden has roughly 5.5 months to get things done; I'm curious to see what happens between now and the election. He has to be careful not to hurt the new Dem ticket...unless the campaign become so bad it really doesn't matter.

Depending on the election results, Biden can make the transition as smooth as possible, or use his immunity to make certain the Repubs have a real mess to untangle.

I don't want to see Trump back in office. I don't want to experience his second regime, esp in a crimson red state trying to return to 1954.

Biden is like the good guy, accomplish but underrated,
And voters, the girls say they can't find good man, but keep going out with the bad boys again and again.

He never got credit for his successes.
Hell, he was even skipped over for Hillary, after being VP.

So I say to the voters, look in the mirror...this is why you can't have nice things...or a good relationship.

Ya got lucky with Obama, but you mistreated him and made him work for it.
And with Harris...well, we'll see if y'all are stupid yet again.

The other guy is a douchebag bad boy...and he'll wreck your car, trash your house and spend all your money.

I thought Biden’s speech was excellent.

    I, & my quit-talking-politics-to-me wife, applauded.

I doubt that the Average Joe citizen has any real idea of the numerous messes caused by Trump that Biden had to deal with. We also need to remember how the Trump's loyalists stonewalled the transition.

How will history treat Biden in the short term, and long term? Will the education groups at the state level, the Texas Education Agency for example, be able to sanitize & glorify NPD Trump, while downplaying Biden?

We can look at JFK and Nixon to see if history can be viewed as fair, or biased either way.

    It’s a crapshoot…
There’s no telling the whims of historians, politicians and the public.
    The think as they will.

All you can do is keep to the facts and hope interest in the truth comes out.

Good can turn bad, like Wilson
    Bad can turn good

    Trends happen
    Perspectives change.

In the end, we’re all like Ozymandias.

And in the end for Biden, he just has to have faith in himself.
He knows what he truly tried and not
And it would be nice to know for himself that he was effective and made a difference.

    It’s all relative.

Biden Approved Secret Nuclear Strategy Refocusing on Chinese Threat

Biden is still prez'ing...SERIOUS presidenting...
I'm glad he's focusing on this stuff. Campaigning is too much of a distraction. (US election is WAY too long. Most other nations get it done in weeks)

I've always said, I'm voting for the person who'll work their asses off for US.
It's the most powerful job in the world...ya better not just want it...you better WORK it.

Truman had it right, when he has his sign on the WH desk, "The buck stops here."

Meaning, if it gets to the presidents desk, it's going to be HARD! If is were easier, someone else would have done it down the line.
I didn't vote for George Bush SR, because he was thrown under the bus by the GOP for raising taxes...and hid up in Kennebunkport. (no matter his talents)

Chump should also be hated for his laziness. not just for corruption, ego and craziness.
Biden is stull WORKING, something many forget.
    Kamala better too.

    Rant on.

    "The buck stops here."

I recall a smooth talking POTUS who loved to say that. The old actor never took responsibility for anything, not even the illegal activities that he directly approved; the Teflon President basically got away with it. And history has been very kind to him.

    Rant off.

I thought it was Truman that started "The buck stops here.", with a sign of it on the Oval Office Resolute desk.
Meaning he was given the worst problems, because if it was easier, it was solved below him.

Others adopted it after and twisted its meaning.

Reagan loved saying it, and avoiding living up to it.
