Anyone have experience using Ontrack Data Recovery successfully?

    I'm trying to recover 2T usb external drive. I believe the FAT is corrupted but data may still be 'good'.
    I made an img file to another drive. This took over two days. Now I do not know how to retrieve the data from it.
    Ontrack's help file only tells me how simple the program is to use! I've run out of ideas how to use the program.
    The disk check only found one bad cluster. Since it was the last one tested before I stopped the scan (after more than 24 hours) I'm not sure that cluster is bad.

    Any help with this program would be appreciated.
    I also tried two other recovery programs and they were even less helpful.
