Bloody battle between neighbours sees man's arm almost severed with a chain saw... and another's finger chopped off with a SAMURAI sword

Arm Nearly Severed in Australian Chainsaw Attack | The Jakarta Globe

Unreal. I love that the end of the article describes chainsaws for the uneducated. People are crazy.

Jeez! Everybody knows you don't bring a sword to a chainsaw fight!

This sounds like the Aussie Redneck Show. People are stupid everywhere.

Obviously the answer is to ban chainsaws. And swords. Ad loud music. And driving. And neighbors.

    Problem solved.

    Two bad-tempered, blood thirsty idiots.

An arm and a finger lost.

Two lessons learned the hard way.

    No one died.

    Not a bad outcome, considering.

I don't know sometimes I think "natural selection" could use a little push.

Yep, we Aussies are really dumb - we need everything explained to us.

I think Police arrived too early - this could've been a great Darwin Award story.

HE IS lucky to have his right arm, partially severed by a chainsaw in an alleged altercation with his neighbour, but Mark Jorgensen says he would do it all again.
''Thanks to everyone for the wishes,'' he posted on his Facebook page from his Liverpool Hospital bed, ''anyone who knows me knows i dont fight with weopens (sic). id do it all again to protect my family or friends.''
Mr Jorgensen, 29, had extensive surgery to reattach his right arm after a neighbourhood dispute turned violent at Minto on Tuesday night. The man carrying the chainsaw, Troy Thornton, 26, lost his ring finger in the feud that began over loud music.

His sister, Nicole Thornton, said yesterday Mr Jorgensen was not carrying a weapon but someone still attacked her brother. She said she had moved her family from their Minto home to avoid any further conflict.
Ms Thornton would not say where her family would move to but said they were forced to go for their own safety.
"My mum is moving. I've told her that she has to," Ms Thornton said.
"How are my mum and my step father meant to stay in that house with young hoons are living next door?"
Mr Thornton, a father of two, lives in Queensland but was in Sydney to attend the funeral of his sister's partner, Peter Reinhardt, who drowned when his boat overturned on the Nepean River in March.
The problems began just after 5.30pm on Tuesday night when the Jorgensen household complained about Ms Halls playing loud music.
The Thorntons claim that someone from the Jorgensen household then drove in a dangerous and threatening manner towards them.
Police were called and the two families were told to return to their homes.
But tensions escalated again just before 9.20pm, resulting in the chainsaw being produced.
Ms Thornton claimed members of the Jorgensen household tried to invade their family's home.
