American Idol

Anyone watching this year?
They are through the group competition so now we can get to know the names better.
A couple have caught my attention already, but I don't know their names yet.

 

I'm not digging it so far this season. Not sure why.
I still like all three judges.
Maybe I'm just burned out on singing shows. Between this, The Voice and X-Factor, I'm feeling a little saturated.

 

I like the judges too. Tyler is a riot with some of the stuff he comes out with. Randy seems to have cut back with the name dropping and YoYoDawg-ing.

 

That is still on the air? Never have watched it but hearing brief clips on the morning radio show reminds me of Major Bowes Amateur Hour.

 

i got pissed about the 3rd season in when hte rockers kept gettin the boot... oh well, most of em' arnt that great afterward anyway...

 

I usually wait for QW to give me the word that somebody worth watching/hearing has emerged. So far this season, she hasn't mentioned anything.

 

My thoughts exactly, to the T.

 

I haven't watched the past few years but I picked it back up this year. Phillip Phillips for the win!!

 

I haven't even glanced at the show, despite the deluge of ads.

 

I like him too. I get a Dave Matthews vibe from him. Jen Hirsh, Creighton Fraker and Heejun Han are my other early favs.

 

for some reason i just havent gotten into american idol in a few years. im not sure why. i typically start watching it after it gets down to the final 24 or whatever the number is

 

I like Jen Hirsh as well.. I just couldn't remember her name. I def get the Dave Matthews vide from him as well.. I hope he atleast makes it to the end. They haven't had a winner yet that plays his style of music. Well not that I can remember anyways.

 

Yeah, good call. Exactly what I was telling mrs. joe the other nite.

Also, I really like that dude who jumped in and played the drums the other week. Don't recall his name, but he really seems to be having a fun time. I'm thinking at least top five for him.

Jessica Sanchez has a great voice. She should make it to the top 10 at least.

Glad cowboy is gone. He can sing, but too arrogant and transparent.

Started watching The Voice the other day. Its interesting and better singers so far. They seem to be going for the "singers" instead of the "idol".

 

Pretty much like the top 13. Didn't like the wild card of Deandre. His 70's falsetto is already getting on my nerves. Should have been Jen.

 

Never watched the show. Just seen the commercials.
