A Make Your Own Remake Thread

Have you ever played the casting director in your head? If you've ever thought "if they remade that movie/TV series, I'd like to see so-and-so in that role" then you're my kind of supergeek. Cast your own remake/reboot here.

Guest appearance by Sigourney Weaver as the realtor who sold them the firehouse.

 

Or, alternately, Seth Rogen as Venkman, Justin Long as Stantz, Seth Green as Louis Tully. Yeah, that'd be better.

 

In the category "should never be made or even thought of" I can just see somebody trying a Monty Python Holy Grail remake starring someone like Jack Black.
and to mention something I have thought of on occasion I would be interested in seeing something with these two completely different areas:
0) A Bond film showing an older retired 007 (Connery of course) and a current younger Bond. No comment on Daniel Craig, I have only seen him in Cowboys and Aliens which tells me nothing about his Bond aside from how well he does the American accent.
1) A Lone Ranger/Green Hornet film that sticks to the radio roots, and sets the story in the 1930's when the Hornet was first spun-off from the Lone Ranger. Having your hero already set as the great-nephew of the Lone Ranger is too good to pass up in my opinion , and the opportunity to see the Lone Ranger in his 80's/90's still fighting crime as best he can would be superb.
Having a world of no cellular/wireless phones, fancy computers, and just plain cool cars works better for these kind of stories in my opinion.

The Wizars of Oz remake with all TFP cast and John Wayne. Now that would be fun. That, or [i/]Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory[\i] with TFP cast (when I was a kid, drinking from a chocolate river looked awesome)

I want a remake of A League of Their Own, with Tom Hanks starring again- except instead of a women's team, it's a team of zombies... because the genre of zombie-sports movie is a potential goldmine for Hollywood.
