Finally got a hold of my crown jewel: Herman Schnedier De Santis Fighter Variant B #1

Herman has made many of these knives in a shorter, wider design. This is the only variation that has ever been made to the design. It is #1 and currently is the only one of its kind. This knife won the "Best Fighter" award at Blade West 2004. The blade is Double Vacuum Melted 154CM from the first batch ever sold. The handle is ultra premium Sambar stag from India.

I have a custom deck-fit display box on order with Lawrence McLean, but that won't be ready until next year! Until then, it will just have to hang out in a Bill's case.

The box it is going in will cost over $400.

Very nice. I'd personally be afraid to use it, because if your grip slips, the palm of your hand is going to get a serious cutting.
