Bookmarks across multiple machines?

Anyone have a neat solution for managing URL bookmarks synced across multiple machines? Doing it by hand is time consuming and messy.

If you have a common file server (FS) you can use your clients (C1,C2,etc) to backup the favorites folder to the FS. Making a batch file to do this should be no problem. copy c1:\fav fs:\fav. then have a batch file at system startup on all computers to copy fs:\fav [currentmachine]:\fav.

Obviously this is not the specifics but if you are used to making batch files and moving files around it shouldnt be a problem.

You can also use windows scripts to do it automatically, but my knowledge in that area is slim to none. I know it can be done, just not how

hope this helps

Crazy

If you're using Firefox, there is/was an extension that would FTP your bookmarks to an FTP site when you closed your browser and redownload when it first opened.

I've been happy with del.icio.us. Nice system. Add their Firefox extension and BetterSearch for thumbnails.

Gave up on my own web-based manager and the sync programs I used to use.

A bit of an odd solution but if you want the same browser, with the same extensions, toolbars and bookmarks on any computer you wish, use portable firefox. I use it at work and it works almost flawlessly.
