Full screen Quicktime7 on my TV

Hey all, I have an old (read: quickly becoming ancient) machine that I've started to convert to a more media-oriented machine. I know you're going to cringe, but it's a 650MHz P3, with a GeForce2 video card with S-Video out. I hooked up the S-Video output to my TV, and it runs great when using Winamp full screen. However I've been downloading alot of H.264 videos (read: X-Men 3 Trailer) and when I put QT into fullscreen, it goes fullscreen onto my compy monitor and not my TV. Does anyone know what I need to do so I can put QT into fullscreen? Thanks guys!

It might have something to do with the movie itself, I think H.264 is a High Def format, and it might not work with your tv.

Have you tried playing other types of files through quicktime? If they don't work, then it's probably a software issue, not a individual file issue.

You're getting into tricky territory. If you can convert from QT to another format, preferably a standard such as MPEG, I think you'll find yourself much happier in the long run. QT is a hack on anything non-Mac. Not bashing it, it's just the truth.

quicktime I think defaults to your default monitor when it goes fullscreen. I know of several other programs that do the same thing. Like what was said you can try to convert them into something another program can play, or look for an alternate player that can play wuicktime movies.

Like Confederate said, play it in something else..

I hate Quicktime so, I play all my QT files through WMP using 'Quicktime Alternative' (I think that's what it's called...). If it's the actual program preventing you from full screening it....get rid of the program, eh?

I've tried .mov files that I've had for years, and those don't work either.

Haha, I've spent the last 10 minutes reading up on Quicktime Alternative and Media Player Classic, and I just realized I've had it installed on my system already with the K-lite codec pack. I is smrt.
