fonts packages/collections
Anyone know where I could free font collections besides kazaa? I love getting fonts but I hate going through them one by one. I want to get a collection of fonts, like a zip archive or something.
Any ideas?

Do you have a news group reader? MS Outlook will do in a pinch.
Head for alt.binaries.fonts and you'll get more than you can shake a stick at. Also check out yahoo groups, and do a search for 'fonts'. This advice courtesy of the missus, who's been somewhat of a font junkie for the last year. |

You should check the "cheapo" bins at CompUSA or similar retailers. A number of years ago I picked up a "Expert Software" TrueType font CD for $10 or $20 and it came with 2000 fonts - literally.
CorelDRAW used to come with an extensive font library.

i go to a site that has free fonts, a great preview function, categorized listings, and has just about any font you'd want.... the only drawback is looking through all of it, and then downloading each one.... but otherwise, it's a GREAT resource - www.1001fonts.com
