Im using WMP 10 from time to time and I was wondering why the volume increases (I damn near jumped out of my chair) when clicking on the slider that lets you skip forward into the song or video right above the volume control any Idea's

You might want to use Media Player Classic and see if the "Normalizing" function helps you out at all. Let me know if that works out for you.

Does the volume increase when the volume slider is already at the top? Check your system volumes... make sure all the sliders are at 100%, then try skipping forward in the video. I can't imagine why it would do this, but it sounds like the volume gets reset when you move the track forward. If that's the case, keep your system volume constand and adjust the volume with your speakers.

If that doesn't work... I'm buggered.

Thanks for the pointer I think this is where the problem is
I had the system volume set set to 3/4 full and the WMP to less so when I click on the slider to skip forward it defaults to system volume. So now I have the system volume set to less and WMP and Real Player to max, can that be right.
Thanks all
