i think there are some free ones, but usually they suck. an internet search should tell you what they are.

i do some of this at work, and if you want quality, you're best off to buy...or steal.

hmm...does realplayer do diskdumps? the best way would be to dump the rm files into wav files on your computer ( ex. winamp diskwriter plugin) and then rencode that with mp3 encoder of choice (lame bladenc etc.) although I personally prefer musepack myself :P
