D'oh! Just updated video drivers...

...and now I've got a fuzzy picture. The words and shit look fuzzy. I even tried rolling back the drivers but nothing works.

You try squinting? In all seriousness, I had trouble with my old Radeon 9700 All in Wonder. Ultimately I got a new card (9800). Drivers didn't help my issue at all. You try uninstalling all video drivers and then reinstalling them? You have your original drivers disc?

That's one problem with analog LCDs -- sometimes the adjustment doesn't always work, or it gets out of sync. One trick that I've used is this: create a 2 x 1 horizontal bitmap of two pixels, one white, one black. Set that as your desktop background and tile it. You'll see a bunch of very fine white and black lines. If you see fuzzy gray, then adjust the horizontal synch until they become distinct black and white lines. I use that to manually sync my LCDs sometimes. For some reason, my Dell LCD has a problem synching with my old GeForce, so I have to employ this trick.

Doh! Don't you just hate it when you get all technical trying to fix a problem and it's something simple like that? Man, one time I had a hell of a time trying to figure out why my HD wasn't functioning properly. Later I realized I had failed to plug it back in after moving it. Sigh.
