Anyone know how to set up a webcam? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I was wondering if anyone knew how to set up a webcam so that it'll update every 5 seconds or so and someone can access it freely? I want to set it up so that my dad can come click on it whenever he wants and see us since he's in Kuwait right now.

Any help would be great.

yahoo's messenger will do that "freely" .

I'm trying to use Webcam2000 right now but for some reason it wont make it so other people can see it. I can see it by going to localhost

ort but then if i send the ip / port to others nothing pops up.....

Opened the port in the firewall? NATed the port in your router?

I'm probably just going to keep typing until I run out of things to babble about and see how many people actually read this. I once ran down a hill, fell down and hurt my elbow; my mom said I would be ok, she kissed it and made it all better. I've run out of things to say now, so if you have read this whole thing, congratulations you get a gold star!
