Stop sending me to search.msn.com
Everytime I make a small typo in the adressbar in IE it insists on sending me to MSN Search. This wouldn't be that anoying if it didn't remove the adress from the adressbar and I could just correct it and not type the whole adress again.
HOW DO I TURN IT OFF? |
in IE -
Click the 'Search' button in the toolbar..then, click 'Customise' In the box that pops up, lower-left corner click 'Autosearch Settings' in the 'When searching' dropdown, select 'Do not search from the Address bar'. There ya go...while you're at it, obviously customise as you see fit, this is just the most direct answer to your question :) |
I use google as the default search engine, works a hell of alot better than msn..... Google shows you how

try opera you will love it, i recently converted i still use IE for some things, opera dosent support active X due to security issues so i use IE for that. the biggest Plus to opera is the tabbed browsing. basicaly instead of having 1.3 million instances of IE its all in one window. that and when opera does crash you can re-open it and go from where you left off it saves you session automaticaly, VERY pimp..
