Firefox Problem
For some reason, I cannot get the Quicktime extensions to work in Firefox. I had quicktime installed before Firefox, then installed it AGAIN afterwards.
Still, no videos work in Firefox. Any help? 1.0PR |
The problem might be that you didn't set the type of internet connection you are using in the quicktime preference dialog box. If the quicktime icon is in the system tray right click on it, then go to quicktime preferences otherwise open the player, and look for quicktime preferences. After you selected your connection speed settings go to the following page to see if you can view this quicktime stream: http://www.muchosucko.com/video-macswitchparody.html

Since it's somewhat related -- anyone know why my Firefox hates pdf files? Every time I open one inside of my browser, it takes forever to load. If I browse to another page, it's a coin flip as to whether or not it freezes.

Slavakion, I get the same problem. What I did was just to go into Options//Downloads and change to PDF entry to Save To Disk. I guess you can set it to open in your favourite PDF program also.

Nope, the video loaded but when played it was all back, no video showed at all.
Windows Media loads but on a different site the window "Click here to download plugin" which prompts to download Apple Quicktime. |

I believe we have found the pdf problem to be a problem with the adobe software that the firefox team cannot fix since we do not have the source. Go bug Adobe
