File Management Question
I just dled 1.5 GB of jpgs, and I gotta separate shit to make the CDs I burn them on, browsable. I usually do this by separating the files in the folder of jpgs in new folders of 100MB or so in size. However this is time consuming as hell and just a pain to do overall when you work with this many files at once.
I need an app or script that can split a folder of files into 100MB folders for me automatically in the same dir the file originate from for my porn folders....I want something that can automatically take 100MB worth of files and put them in #ed folders until the are no files left. failing something that fnacy I could specify a number of files in 1000s to split into subdirs. Either way would be helpful but the 1st one would be a little more organized. Anyone know of an app that does this or have the ability to whip up a little perl script and would be willing to do it? Thanks for any help anyone has. |
I've dealt with this in the past (fitting X number of files into Y space) but I don't recall the app I used. May have been by hand.
You may want to try a file synchronization application. |
The only thing that i can think of that will fit files into Y space is burn to the brim http://bttb.sourceforge.net/
I've never used the program, but it will split up a folder to burn into the least amount of cd's. |
