Shareware to burn VCD's

I was wondering if anyone knew of any shareware of freeware that enables you to burn VCD's. I just downloaded Nero 6 from Cnet but it said my trial was expired before I even used it. Thanks ahead of time.

going off-topic with rudezilla's "right on the border of OK to talk about" post.. who the hell googles for serialcodes/cracks/keygens?

Use AstaLaVista.

Mods, feel free to clear the above if it's crossing the line.

Back to the original question.. I don't know of any Windows software offhand.. but I did a search of "burn vcd" (w/o the quotes) on download.com, and a bunch of programs popped up. I'd suggest giving one of those a go and seeing how it works for you.

Good luck!

Thanks, Latch. I'll give it a try.

In general I would usually check nero's website for an updated demo version of nero http://www.nero.com/us/nero6-ultraedition.php
(this was for a pc that only needed to burn rarely). Generally the demo versions are good for a limited time (up to 1 month, specific date range coded in the demo) before nero has a new version that changes the trial date range. I just checked and it looks like the last demo that they had is already "expired" and that they don't have a new one available yet. this is the explanation as to why your demo was expired before being installed.

i didnt want to get any more specific and name a site that is generally the most well-known place to find illegal #'s and cracks only because i didnt want to cross that "border of OK to talk about".www.doom9.org and http://www.videohelp.com will give you more solutions and suggestions of both freeware/shareware/purchased programs and methods of getting your videos made.

If you want to stay legit with the license then try VCDEasy -- the new version is shareware-only but the older versions are freeware. It makes VCD's.

If you get Nero Trial from their website you can dl it every month and choose to Update your install and it resets your time limit. I dunno how legal it is but it works and they could fix it if they wanted to so....

Also if your DVD Player handles MPEG ISOs (I know Philips, Apex, and RCA players do) you can just burn the mpg as data if it's under 700MB and you can even use the extra space for app backups or whatever. I do this with a few TV shows I archive that are only < 500MB an episode.

I use CDRWin for all my VCD needs. All I have to do is load a cuesheet and it does the rest..

fireburner. easy as pie to use, just doubleclick the .cue file http://www.fireburner.com/index.php?...004d6a78b1ce94

cues are only good with cd images...I think he wants to author VCDs from mpg files, in which case he wants to use Nero or VCDeasy.
