i have cable and adsl both at home, the cable varies in speed a lot, and seems to get higher packet loss, the dsl is slower for the most part, but the lowest the dsl goes is higher than the lowest the cable goes.
with both bonded together i get max about 2Mbit early morning. if i had to chose between them i'd probably go with the DSL since the upload seems more reliable and slightly faster, and i upload a lot. if i was just downloading i'd go with the cable. |

Cable is not available where I live, and I am far enough away from the CO that I cannot get a DSL sync faster then 384kbps. I split this line with my neihbor (only uses it for hotmail, as far as I know) and so I only pay half of the $50/month (static IP, full service ISP... they even include a shell account on one of thier linux boxes)
