Help upgrading BIOS for my notebook HP pavilion
I have a HP pavilion ze1210, i'm trying to upgrade the BIOS, HP offers upgrades on their website for my exact system, but you are required to make a floppy boot disc, but my laptop doesnt have a floppy drive, and i dont have access to a external one. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd like to make a CD boot disc but when you run the .exe you download for their site, it opens up a program in the dos window with the prompt "Please enter a disc into drive A:" when you dont it just closes, so, i dont know how to get the info i need on a CD. Does anyone have a website or any good tips to get this done? One more problem, my computer processor speed is only being read as 435MHZ or something, and i have an AMD anthlon XP 1400+. Thats the reason im trying to fix my bios, unless this is not related.

Hm... maybe you can have a friend make a boot floppy, then make a bootable CD image from the floppy?
Or get a USB floppy drive...though I don't know if your BIOS would be able to boot off of it. |
