search-space.com & Chick-Chick TGP?????
 

Hey guys, I'm not an expert an computers, but know probably more than the average computer user, so I normally hate asking for help with this sort of thing, but it's bruising my computer...

Somehow, something got downloaded onto my computer so that www.search-space.com is always my homepage. I'll change it, then it'll change right back. I have no idea how this happened and what to delete to get rid of it.

Secondly, I rarely if ever search for porn (outside of TFP when it's up), but something got on my computer so that sometimes all the links on any web page will get turned to porn links (all to an IP address of 66.230.167.99 or something called Chick-Chick TGP). It's really slowing down my computer anmd forcing me to use the content advisor for all sites.

How can I get this crap off my computer??? Thanks so much, guys!

spyware. get and run ad-aware and spybot search and destroy.

Get ad-aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com and Spybot Search & Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org/

I had that exact same thing! And I have no clue where I picked it up!

Ad-aware and Spybot S&D did not help me out. Somebody else posted something that helped in another thread. I'll find it and post it here.

That's the one that helped me. I just went to Google and typed in "CoolWebSearch" and downloaded a zip file I think. It was quick and easy to do and fixed everything right up.
