Program to show what keys are being pressed
Does anyone know of a program for windows that shows what keys are being pressed?
I have a game system where the keys are mapped onto an arcade panel and I'm getting some weird key inputs and I need to be able to see what keys the system thinks are being pressed. -happymaan |
Not sure what OS you're using, but if you are on a Linux/X-Windows system, you can use xev. Just type it at the command line, move the mouse to the window.. and type.. you'll get the idea :)
I'm guessing you'll soon get more posts with Windows/Mac suggestions if you're either of those. |
a simple keylogger would take care of this? or am i missing something?

i used to use a program called 'visual keyboard' from microsoft.
the main purpose was to type in diff languages, but it will show what key is being pressed. |
Thanks The_Dude, I checked out visual keyboard, and it would have done the trick but it doesn't show the function keys...and I think that's where the problem is.
