Is there a way to make webpages automatically refresh?

I want to make some, but not all, webpages refresh at intervals of my choosing. How can I do it?

Use Opera. Right clicking a page allows you the choice of refreshing from as little as 5 seconds to a max of 30 minutes.

I only use Internet Explorer and I'm not going to change it.

Any other suggestions that will actually help me would be great.

If you are coding the webpages you can set them to refresh, it is one of the HTML tags.

No, I mean how can I get IE to refresh when I'm browsing the web?

I use Avant Browser. It's a "shell" for IE. It uses IE's rendering engine, preferences, bookmarks, and in general behaves exactly like IE.

The only real differences are that it looks a little different, supports tabbed browsing, automatic popup blocking (if you so choose), and the ability to make pages refresh at intervals of your choosing.

If you're not willing to change your browser, then you're out of luck. IE's not going to do that for you.

Oh, it'll open your system like swiss cheese to any old exploit that comes down the pike. But <i>that</i> function? Nope.

Exactly, if you aren't willing to switch browsers, you're pretty much out of luck. I like silenced's idea, though.
