I have a pentium 4 1500ghz 256mb ram 40gig computer and im looking to upgrade it, im looking for what to upgrade the most, the price (in canadian bucks please) and if its parts from a site then leave me the site url thanks

Where doy ou notice your computer is behaving slowly?From the specs you listed it seems your computer is pretty fast already?! Check out www.tomshardware.com for pc hardware reviews. For less than $200 cad you could probably get a video card that would make a huge difference in gaming.

Yeah toms page is great. I reckon that www.anandtech.com is a good one too. Spend some time looking around these sites and you will learn alot. It will take some time, but reading the articles will surely help you.

Do you know what type of motherboard you have? This'll determine a lot about what you can and can't upgrade to,

if you're looking for gaming increase, the vid card is important, also DDR ram can help if your MB supports it. What kind of system board do you have, and what OS are you running?

What are you planning to do with your computer? If it's for gaming, we need to know what your video card is.

From the specs you give there: I'd give it some more memory. 512Mb is quite adequate for XP at the moment but I've heard it really flies with 1Gb.
