Search the TFP...

Many people have had the same queries as yourself. Do a search of the TFP before posting a question that has already been answered before. Members come and go, each leaving some part of themselves on the forum. Do a search before you ask about routers, video cards, power supplies. As tech equipment progresses, so does the board. But, please, stop asking about how the wheel works! Do a search before you ask! Any new info goes into a link you might offer, please offer new stuff. Stop asking for the same old stuff that exists in this great wealth of knowledge database you can search for free.

The rant is over. Thanks for your time.

gee whiz fellas. Im sorry.

I had to bump myself, as I see the same questions asked entirely too often. If you want to ask about hardware, do a search. We have discussed Notebooks/Laptops, power supplies, vid cards. DO A FRIGGIN SEARCH before you post a "new" query!

I agree, as I've searched plenty of times and found the answers to my questions. I think this forum has a lot more seemingly repeat questions, as the computer industy is always changing, and components become obsolete in under 3 months. I still hit that search though.

This is probably the only forum in which this thread doesn't belong. Computer technology moves so quickly, the discussions that we have now will be irrelevant in a couple of months.

I agree with you when you say "Computer Technology moves so quickly".. but only that part.

If a post was made about Serial ATA a week or two ago, and it gets knocked off the front page.. it's annoying if someone comes up with the same type of question. Technology doesn't move THAT fast, usually.

Also, a lot of topics are discussed (How do I fix "this" problem in Windows 98/XP) that are timeless, so to speak.

Chances are if you have a question about something that's not cutting edge, you should search before posting.
