Capture Hardware
Does anyone have any experience with capturing hardware? By Capture Hardware I mean something like this Dazzle product...
http://www.dazzle.com/products/dvc150.html I want something like this to capture my analog High 8 movies to burn them onto DVD. My video camera is analog, so I need to be able to convert the movies to digital. I really want something separate like this to do the 'leg work' for my pc. I am totally new to this stuff and would appreciate any input. |

I have had other people reccommend the all in wonder card to me also. Does the card compress the files as you capture them? I'm sorry if my questions dont make sense, I am totally new to all this stuff. I have a friend who captures footage from his digital camcorder. He said when he first captures it, he has a huge file on his machine, then he has to compress is it to mpeg-2 and it takes several hours. I guess my question is, when you capture a movie from an analog signal, does it compress it while capturing it? |
