I'm only on my third computer ever, each one I've had has lasted over 10 years, this one is almost 9 years old now (the first one was almost 8 years old when I got it). The first two died, as best I can tell, because the fan in the power-pack died. Powerpack overheated and 'let the smoke out' as my grandfather calls it. He has a funny saying, for an electrician, that 'electronics run on smoke, once you let the smoke out they don't work any more'.
So I would put on on the power pack.

Hard Drive
Processor Graphics Card Power Supply Internal ambient It really only makes sense to have these probes in areas you are concerned about that have fans on them. So, have them controlling a hard drive cooling fan, the processor fan, the graphics card fan, a supplimental PSU fan (or the primary if you're ballsy/don't care about failsafe) and the last for any additional case fans.
