(Seemingly) Simple Question - Save Network settings to Flash Drive?
Is there a way to save my existing wireless network settings to my flash drive?
I know that when setting up a new wireless network, there is an option to save the config onto a flash drive and make it able to automatically apply the settings on a new PC. But is it possible to do so with existing networks? So far my web searches have proved fruitless. As always, all help is appreciated. healer |
Wow - 36 views and no responses?
Is it just a stupid question or am I barking up the wrong tree? |
Not network savvy and not sure if I totally get this, but it may work. :D

I dont know what you use, but at home I use a linksys router and I use the EasyLink Advisor (a program I d/l) to save my wireless settings (including security information) to my flash stick to transfer to the other computers in the house once I have it set up the way I want

jewels: I did come across that link, but in my current situation I can't just do that.
Thanks Shani. :) I'm busy downloading the application now. It just shocks me that windows doesn't have something built-in that can do the same thing. One of my colleagues in Security, however, said that it is possible in Windows - he just can't remember how. Apparently it's just very counter-intuitive. |
36 views and no responses could be caused by a seemingly vague subject line ;)
I was one of them, but didn't have an answer, so nothing to post really. |

Doesn't explain this one though. :oogle: |
