I havent been seeing java applets (or Japplets i think) for about half the games i played at one point and a ton of chats like TFP's chat and all the yahoo stuff (games and Chat) MSN chat still works and all the shockwave games work can any one tell me what the heck is up i am not as computer savy as most of u but u cruise the computer section once in a while and try internet options and advaced options and nothing worked

PLEASE HELP ME

I'll assume you are a Windows user, but I don't know what version. That would help.

What did you install or remove from your computer when it all changed? Think carefully about this question. I can assure you that the answer is NOT "nothing".

Have you tried deleting the applets and reinstalling them?

Which javascript are you using, the MS or the Sun Java edition?

i am useing IE6 so wouldnt that mean i am using MS edition.

How do u delete the applets?

Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings (under Temporary Internet Files) -> View Objects -> Delete everything within the folder.

Once you revisit the site you frequent with the games and chats, they will require you to redownload the Java applet. Do so, and you should be able to get them to work again.

Any chance you have any pop-up stopper (for pop-up ads) installed?

ok let me ask i am running '98 so where would that be on here

And no pop-upblocker

edit:i found it and deleted but still no worky

You may consider reinstalling Java.

1. Select JAVA.INF found in the \Tools\MTSutil folder on the Windows 98 CD.

2. Right-Click JAVA.INF.

3. Choose INSTALL to reinstall the Java VM.
