Repairing JPG's...

I have recovered some digital pictures that were erased off of some removable media. They were restored, but the pictures wont load up in any graphics programs.
Are there any tools for repairing JPG's so that whatever is left can be recovered and viewed?

I did a quick Google search and didn't find anything that resembled what you're looking for.

I'm unaware of any such apps but maybe someone else can suggest one.

Good luck!

This is a shot in the dark and seems to be more for repairing files that were damaged by a virus, but you may want to try it just to see what happens.....

Make sure you scan any downloads with your anti-virus program

Post one of the pics here in the forum and I'll try whether I can identify the problem by comparing the raw file data with the JPEG spec.

its hard to repair jpegs, typically after the corruption appears in the file, the rest of the file is hosed. usually if its anything recoverable the first block of the image will appear in most image viewers.
