need help with installing my Asus P4P800 mobo

I've sucessfully setup up my new computer with the Asus P4P800 motherboard and it's been running for a couple of days now. There are a few things that I didn't bother to setup, like the front panel connections.

I tried to read through the manual but some of the connections have different names from what the asus book shows. I'll list them here and if anyone can clarify which is what, that would be appreciated.

First of all, it seems like a very simple thing, but I'm not sure what to do here. The front panel green led connection on the motherboard shows as a 3-1 pin connection with the middle pin not being used. The green led power cable from the case is actually a 2 pin connector just like the power and reset cables. What should I do with this one?

Second, I'd like to connect my front panel audio plugs but here I have different names from what the motherboard shows. The motherboard shows the following plug names:

Line out_R, BLine_out_R
Line out_L, BLine_out_L
NC
MICPWR, +5VA
MIC2, AGND

this is what's written on the front panel wires:

R-out, R-RET
L-out, L-RET
MIC-POWER, MIC-IN
GROUND

I'm hesitant to plug in anything I'm unsure of and as you can see it may get confusing for newbies like me.

Last question for now, the front panel has some heat sensors. There's one called "system". Where in the computer should I attach this one to?

try looking at the diagams in the book and matching up placement not just the words.

I ran into that once installing a mobo and all i could come up with was to remove the connectors from the plug (you just need a little screwdriver to hold the latch away while you pull it out) and steal a 3 pin plug from an old case.

yeah, i had the same problem.
but w/ a gigabyte mobo.

i had to remove the jumpers on the mobo, and plug the line in and line out (left and right matchingly) to the ones on the mobo.

i randomly did it and it worked the first time. just switch them if they dont work.

as for the mic, i didnt plug it in, i have mine plugged to the back.

thanks for the advice. I ended up taking an exacto knife to the led cable and splitting it in half. It cut like butter. That fixed the problem. the headphone and mic plugs I took a guess and they seem to work!
