RAID dissapears after CMOS clear :/
WinXP SP2, ASUS A7N8X motherboard, 2 identical 80GB Seagate SATA hard drives.
My brother went to install a TV tuner card in his computer and after doing so, he somehow cleared the CMOS. Now the existing RAID array won't load. Steps I have done: 1. Set SCSI/RAID over to RAID and set 1st in boot order to SCSI 2. Checked connections, they're fine. 3. Went into the RAID setup utility and deleted/recreated the RAID setup I'm assuming it's some menial BIOS option that I'm forgetting. Any ideas? |
Are both drives set as "enabled" in BIOS?

That's the thing with this crummy RAID controller - you don't really have that option, anywhere. They're functioning and physically connected though.
Basically what's supposed to happen is that the BIOS hands it off to the separate RAID/SATA controller (blehgh) and then it boots from there. |
