Default Font in Word
Is there a way to change the default font for Word 2003? I want to use Tahoma instead of Times New Roman.
|
Normal.dot is the template from which Word gets all of the default formatting when you create a new document.
Open it from within Word -- it's at C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. Open it, select the white space (CTRL-A), set the font to Tahoma, and save. |
That doens't change the default fully, it will re-set to Times in certain circumstances.
Open nrmal.dot as described, and then in the format menu, edit the style "normal" to be Tahoma - include whatever you want your default line spacing and paragraph leading to be also, and then save normal.dot again. That should make it work more reliably. :) |
Awesome, thanks guys!

If only Dan Rather knew how to do that...
