Demonoid.com - Anyone have an invitation to spare?
 

I was looking to register an account with Demonoid.com, but registrations are closed. Does anyone here have account that they can use to send me an invitation? My email is *snip*.

There are better sites than demonoid out there.....

And they don't require invites.

Better meaning what? Bigger? 99% of the stuff I need I can find at Demonoid, I can almost always guarantee it works (or if it doesn't, the community can explain how to make it), stuff stays seeded more than a day... I'm not sure what else one needs in a torrent site.

In other words, Moskie, the invite is in the mail. Understand that I'm putting faith in your ability not be an asshat by giving you this invite - don't screw it up for me =P

I found Demonoid by noticing that this obsucre torrent I found (and liked) originated from Demonoid. I checked out the site, and I liked it a lot. Good stuff.

I don't have any invitation codes to give out since by account is so new, though.

for your info, when accepted on the site, it will take a long time before you get invites so if someone says: thanks for inviting me!, it doesnt mean they can invite you right away.

The invites exist so that the community can be ensured its new members will contribute. When I give somebody an invite, it puts my good status as a member on the line. I won't give invitations to people I don't know - that defeats the purpose of them, as well as putting myself at risk of being banned from the site.

That's why Moskie got the invite right away, and I would have given one to Mexican if I'd seen it (but he already got one.)

Which means: for those of you asking for one, I'll never give one if I don't know you. You might find someone else who is willing to, though, so you're welcome to ask. But if you contribute to TFP and seem like you're not a total idiot, I'd probably send one your way. So go enjoy this fantastic community, eh?

You know, it's a real shame that that's how people are coming across this community. I can honestly say that's how I came across it but I'm really glad I did considering I had been looking for a good forum site as well for a good while that covered a lot of different issues.

So, guilty as charged but happy anyway!

most everyone that know me also know i don't invite just anyone into my soulseek rooms or my DC++ hubs for this very reason...
it not only sets me up for the RIAA trolls but also puts everyone else there at risk...
i didn't build a 20K+ album collection to get outed by aliens...
so, instead of begging pitifully, get involved in this forum, become known to the rest of the family and maybe, just maybe, things may open for you :thumbsup:

Hey guys, heard real great reviews about this forum, it's my first time using 1, but every1 i've spoken to say that this community is the greatest so here i am,.
I like most people have been tryin to get on demonoid for ages, but there registration always seems closed.....lol:mad:
It must be good for so many people to want to be on it.
